The way the music is played and where it is played could be a main factor in the reaction to how the listener feels about it. Club scenes or "get togethers" with friends and loud music may invoke any type of emotion and problems could occur. Even if you are not at a club, the simple fact of even being around loud volumes of music can be trouble. Having the facts to show that a music genre is more violent is proof, but just blaming a song on an incident that might have happen is not right. Just because more songs play in clubs that have a hip hop theme to them may play more often, an accident that happened before or after you going to an event, the music cannot be the issue (New York Times). It might be the artist and the material they produce, but if you look at some of the most popular people, they might include some disturbing lyrics in them (Dr. Hannelore Wass). The flow of the song could distract the listener from really hearing the words; therefore, whenever they listen to the song again, they will just repeat what they heard but maybe just thinking about the beat in their head. If the origin of that type of music was created around that certain emotion then it should stay what it is; however, if the music was created around a central idea then it should stay like that (mashpedia).
